Batubelig / North Seminyak Guide
Batubelig is the small village that connects Seminyak and Petitenget to Canggu. It is essentially North Seminyak and if you stroll along the beach from Potato Head and the W Hotel it is only ten minutes on foot. We think this is an ideal “best of both worlds” location – relaxed and family-friendly with plenty to offer. It is also the perfect gateway between Seminyak and Canggu attractions.
Watercress Cafe, Batubelig
This popular café also offers high chairs and a kids menu. There is some coloring in and a few basic toys for little visitors supplied too. Also offering take away healthy bites and biscuits to take back to your Villa.
Mari Beach Club
This expensive beach club can be found right on Batubelig Beach. Offering food & drinks around a lagoon shaped pool with pretend beach section the little ones love. There are several areas to take in the sunset and enjoy some nibbles. Mari offers a modern take on highlighting Indonesian cultural events, so check for happenings. Open from 12 noon.
Batubelig Beach Warungs
On the stretch of beach between The W hotel and Mari Beach club you will find a collection of old-school beach cafes or warungs. With cheap and cheerful menus and bean bags in the sand, it’s a fun and simple sunset session on a more mellow stretch of beach to neighboring Berawa.
The Aria Batubelig
This Joglo style restaurant is set back from the main road and overlooks a large grassy garden with playground and soccer goals. There is plenty of space for the kids to play freely while adults try some Indonesian foods and coffee. The team prepare various activities for kids too! This is a lesser known café with play space location and a great place for a family meal.
