It is rare to find a private Villa set up that can sleep up to 26 guests. Here large groups are welcome to move right in and experience hotel standard service without worrying about the kids disrupting other guests!
Perhaps one of the greatest joys of staying here is being able to stroll through the village and meet the friendly local residents as they go about their rural work and religious devotion, giving you an authentic glimpse into the daily lives of the people who make this island so warm and welcoming.
Milestone family celebrations and events are a villa specialty, and 11 bedrooms, spacious gardens and two swimming pools provide the perfect setting for your special day.
The villa’s private chef is at your service to prepare daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner parties, functions, healthy foods, unique dietary requirements and special orders can all be catered for, and meals can be a simple affair, a poolside barbecue, or a grand banquet according to your whim. Vegetarian and children’s dishes are also included on the suggestion menu.
The villas are packed with facilities to satisfy and entertain every holidaymaker. Indoors are large, air-conditioned, open-plan living spaces. PlayStation, Wii and Xbox (with a 60-inch smart TV to play them on), as well as a whole host of regular games and toys, will keep the kids amused.
Outdoors, the poolside sun loungers invite relaxation. Enjoy casual lunches and tropical evening meals in the open-sided dining pavilion, followed by a stroll down to the beach for a paddle in the sea. At night enjoy air-conditioned comfort, or slide back the French doors and let the sea breeze cool your bedroom.
Five-bedroom Seseh Beach Villa I and six-bedroom Seseh Beach Villa II can each be rented separately or together to create a total of eleven bedrooms sleeping up to 20 adults and four children (in Villa II’s bunk room). A further two beds can be made available in both villas for an extra charge.
The villas share a main thatch-roofed entrance and are linked via individual gates from a pretty terraced garden area complete with ornamental water features and fish-filled ponds.
Seseh Beach Villas are located moments from the ocean in a traditional village that has a very strong sense of community and still retains the customs and culture of old Bali. There are no sophisticated facilities in the area, so local activities are limited to walks on the beach or gentle hikes through the glorious rice fields. Alternatively, you can join in with some of the village activities, watch the temple processions, or befriend the staff and get invited to ceremonies. However, with the services of the villas’ complimentary car and driver, Bali’s many cultural, natural, gastronomic and retail delights are all within easy reach.
The symmetrical villa comprises a main two-storey building, a flat lawn, and a pair of open-sided thatched pavilions (one for dining and the other for lounging) situated on either side of a 16.5-metre swimming pool.
The main building comprises a living and dining room with an integrated bar flanked on either side by two-storey wings containing the five bedrooms and the kitchen. The two master bedrooms are situated upstairs in each wing, both with balconies overlooking the sea. Accessed via doors from the master bathrooms is a rooftop deck.
The two master suites are situated upstairs in separate wings, offering spectacular sea views from their four-poster king-size beds and from their breezy balconies, which are beautiful spots for relaxing in private. Guests can enjoy satellite-channel TVs and DVD players, walk-through dressing rooms, and air-conditioned bathrooms with an indoor and an outdoor shower, as well as a rooftop soaking tub.
Two guestrooms lie at the front of the main building on the ground floor, are furnished with king-size beds that convert to twins, and equipped with satellite-channel TVs and DVD players. Glass doors slide open to terraces overlooking the garden and pool while walk-through dressing rooms lead to air-conditioned bathrooms fitted with a shower, and courtyards with a bathtub and shower open to the sky.
With twin beds that convert to a king, and a satellite-channel TV and DVD player, the guest room to the rear of the ground floor is well suited for children. The air-conditioned ensuite bathroom, fitted with a rain shower, leads to a courtyard with a bathtub and another shower open to the sky, as well as a secret outdoor sitting area. Even though this room doesn’t have a sea view, the sound of the waves is ever-present.
The indoor living and dining room offers either air-conditioned comfort or a fan-cooled tropical living experience with floor-to-ceiling glass doors open to the garden. The spacious lounge is comfortably furnished with sofas and a wall unit showcasing artefacts and supporting a 62-inch flat-screen with satellite-channel TV, DVD, Xbox and Playstation. The dining area has a beautiful wooden table for 12 lit by bell-jar lanterns; next to this is a bar counter overhung with copper lanterns.
Situated beside the swimming pool, the charming lounge pavilion is open sided and furnished with water hyacinth sofas and coffee tables. A perfect escape from the sun by day, and gently lit at night by bell-jar lanterns, the room is equipped with ceiling fans and a large satellite-channel TV, which sits behind sliding screen doors.
Paired with the lounge pavilion but situated at the opposite end of the swimming pool, the dining pavilion is furnished with a table for 12 and offers a semi-alfresco dining experience which is truly magical at night accompanied by sea breezes and the sight and sound of rolling waves. Everything has been considered for the comfort of the guests with ceiling fans, lanterns and two adjacent washrooms.
The rooftop deck is the perfect place for a sunset cocktail. Accessed via the two master bathrooms it can be enjoyed as a private space or shared with all of the guests in the villa, with the provision of beanbags and sofas and a low table under the open sky.
The 16.5 x 5-metre swimming pool is bordered by a wide timber deck furnished with eight sunbeds shaded by umbrellas. Within the pool, a sculpture flanked by fire bowls looks beautiful after dark. The garden is planted with giant ‘elephant ear’ taro leaves, and sweet-scented frangipani trees. Between the pool and the main villa building is a wide flat lawn that makes the perfect setting for weddings and events.
Entered through an ornate doorway and stepping stones over a fishpond, the ground floor of Seseh Beach Villa II’s symmetrical main building presents a spacious living room with a TV viewing area, a drinks bar and a sitting area. A guestroom and a four-bed bunkroom lead off one side while at the other is the kitchen, a formal dining room and access to the upper floor. Upstairs are two master bedrooms, two guestrooms and a balcony overlooking the garden and the sea. Within the villa grounds are a dining pavilion, a private 14-metre pool with a sun deck, relaxation pavilion and garden with a large lawn space.
The two master suites are situated upstairs under the high thatched roof, with each offering a view of the pool and garden, and a glimpse of the sea beyond, from the four-poster king-size bed and the adjoining balconies, which are cherished spots for relaxing in private. Guests can enjoy a 39-inch satellite-channel TV in each bedroom, a walk-through dressing room, and an air-conditioned, white and light bathroom with a freestanding oval bathtub for two, twin washbasins and a large, glass-sided, walk-in monsoon shower with a view of the sky through the partially-open roof.
Two of the three air-conditioned guest bedrooms can be found upstairs and one downstairs. Each is furnished with a king-size bed – all can be converted to twin beds – and equipped with a 39-inch satellite-channel TV. Glass doors in the upstairs guestrooms slide open to a large and breezy communal balcony furnished with sofas, armchairs and coffee tables, while the downstairs guest bedroom has a garden terrace. Each bedroom is adjoined by a stylish bathroom with a bathtub and a walk-in shower. The downstairs guestroom also has an outdoor shower.
Located downstairs behind the guest bedroom, the kids’ room has been designed for both sleep and play. Beanbags fill the floor, while the walls are fitted with bunk beds to sleep four kids. The room is equipped with air-conditioning and a 39-inch satellite-channel TV, and adjoined by an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower.
The air-conditioned living room is entered via a thatched porte cochère and a pond with a bubbling, carved-stone water feature. Glass doors on either side can be opened up for a semi-open-air experience with ceiling fans and natural cross-ventilation. This large room features two sitting areas, one of which is oriented around a 65-inch TV/DVD player, and the other towards a bar. Both areas are furnished with sofas, chairs and coffee tables, while the bar beckons with a decorative open stonework façade, high chairs and a set of funky hanging lamps. The sliding door to the garden opens to reveal a sheltered terrace overlooking the lawn, pool and deck.
The villa’s indoor dining room is furnished with a wide table for 14, comfy chairs and a chandelier; guests have the choice of opening the glass doors to the garden or closing them for air-conditioned comfort.
Situated in the garden, to one side of the pool, the dining pavilion is furnished with a table for 12, and offers an informal semi-alfresco dining experience within the sound of the sea. Considerate features include ceiling fans, lanterns and two adjacent washrooms.
Guests will be enticed by the large poolside balé pavilion, sheltered by a thatched roof, fitted with a mattress and scattered with cushions. This is the perfect place for whiling away an afternoon or for enjoying a Balinese massage.
The 14-metre swimming pool is bordered by a timber deck furnished with sun beds and umbrellas. Planted with flowering shrubs, trees and tall bamboo, the garden offers plenty of space for kids to run around, as well as a wide flat lawn ideal for weddings and events. A pretty garden with a communal gateway links the property with Seseh Beach Villa I.
