Villa Karma is made up interconnected sister villas. The villas are linked by a small garden passage and cared for the same experienced staff team. The resort like Village makes use of an ethnic theme with great attention paid to furnishing the villas in a truly traditional way. A teak wooden gate guarded by traditional hand-crafted wooden statues leads into Villa Kalua, where you will be thrilled to see such as gorgeous and spacious private garden for your usage only, like a hidden paradise revealed to you and your loved ones. A bridge over a koi fish-pond leads into the villa’s lobby, a Joglo that looks out onto the rice field that lies at the back of the estate as well as the stunning free-form swimming pool and the manicured lawn of the garden, surrounded by lush tropical greenery and colourful flowers. Around the pool there are luxurious double day-beds for sun-tanning and relaxing in the shade of a traditional Balinese parasol. The Joglo’s scattered around in the garden add to the ethnic and traditional feel of this amazing luxury villa.
Highly trained staff await you, welcoming you with warm Balinese hospitality and making sure everything is perfect during your stay. There is a villa manager who can arrange in-villa massages, transport, day-trips and more. There is also an excellent chef, butlers, housekeeping and security guards.
Four-bedroom Villa Kalua has a gourmet kitchen and an air-conditioned media room and entertainment pavilion with pool bar and billiards table. The first pavilion you enter is the lobby, a spacious open-plan Joglo and to the right lies the living pavilion, also tucked in a traditional Joglo. Joglo’s are traditional Javanese houses, crafted from ancient teak wood and characterized by their high-vaulted rooftops supported by ornamented wooden pillars. The living and dining spaces exudes a rich oriental vibe with all of its gorgeous antiques, chandeliers, rugs and vivid hues of royal purple and red as well as full length curtains and ornately carved decorative pieces. The lounge corner is furnished with comfy Balinese day-beds and low cushions facing a huge flat-screen TV with DVD-player, topped off with surround sound speakers. The dining room comes with a large glass-topped table for 8 resting on hand-carved tribal statues and the kitchen features a large bar with stools for enjoying cocktails after dinner.
The four guest bedrooms are in spacious stand-alone Joglo’s surrounding the pool. All Joglo’s come with veranda’s, king-size beds, walk-in dressing-rooms with mini-bars and luxurious semi open-air en-suite bathrooms with rain-showers and outdoor bathtubs. Full bathroom amenities including kimono’s, slippers, soap and shampoo are provided.
The Villa is located at the end of a quiet lane in Umalas, just a short drive away from the centre of Seminyak and the hot spots of Canggu. Umalas still has lots of emerald rice paddies all around, providing you with a real ‘back to nature’ feel and yet in no time you will be standing in the vibrant and colourful streets of Seminyak where you can shop till you drop, wine and dine at the renowned ‘eat street’ and dance till late at happening night clubs such as Ku De Ta and Potato Head.

However you decide to spend the day, you’ll always be greeted by a view of the 3185 square meter park populated with coconut trees, “Timor” statues, and tree ferns that are sure to relax you.
The Villa is designed with open-plan living spaces, beautiful wooden floors, and high ceilings, all in traditional Javanese style. Villa Ka has a spacious living room, partially surrounded by a water lily pond overlooking the deck and swimming pool. The living room features exquisite Javanese craftsmanship from wooden furnishings to artistic wood carvings. In the evening, the room is bathed in the glow of beautiful hanging teardrop light fixtures. Overlooking the pool and to the right of the living room is the dining area. Here you can savor a delicious meal while lounging on rattan chairs all while enjoying the cool night breeze. After dinner, guests can either chat and drink at the bar or sit back, relax, and watch a movie in the TV room.
Each of the five bedroom Joglos has a king-sized bed enclosed in white curtains. This allows guests to relax and feel connected to nature. Located right outside each Joglo are private rock bath tubs and rain showers. Each Joglo then opens up to an inviting view of the pool and lawn. There is one Joglo, on the right side of the swimming pool, that contains two bedrooms, which is excellent for families and friends who would like to share.
The Villa has highly trained staff and security that are attentive to your needs; be it a breakfast with fresh fruits from the market or a request for an in-house massage. The Villa also has a number of amenities that are sure to make your stay very comfortable (Wifi, security boxes, hair dryer, etc.). Guests can coordinate with a personal guest assistant regarding any other needs such as transportation, chef prepared meals, private yoga classes, and many more.
