Villa Pushpapuri is located near the traditional village of Ketewel on Bali’s south-east coast. The property is supported by a carefully selected team of highly trained, friendly staff who will do everything within their power to ensure that guests at the villa enjoy a truly luxurious and relaxing experience. Approaching the large living and dining pavilion, the ocean is immediately visible through the glass walls, which form three sides of this stand-alone building.
The accommodation comprises a Living & Dining Pavilion, a Games Room, and four bedrooms including the two-storey Master Suite complete with an upstairs study and a DVD room.
The Living & Dining Pavilion is a stand-alone, rectangular pavilion with glass walls on three sides designed to maximise the ocean views. The sliding glass doors can be fully opened to create an open-air tropical living experience enhanced by sea breezes and the sounds of the waves. The room is furnished with sofas and lazy chairs to create a sitting area at one end, while a dining table for eight is positioned at the other end next to a small kitchen.
Guests will enter the villa through a large water-garden comprised of four fishponds complete with bubbling fountains. This delightful courtyard area is planted with yellow irises, torch ginger, and a pair of ancient frangipani trees, while the walls are decorated with hand-carved Palimanan stone friezes depicting ocean and river themes. There is a secure car park and garage at the entrance.
A stone staircase leads from the living pavilion down to the air-conditioned games room, complete with an arched wooden ceiling and an adjoining, open-air, walled courtyard. The games room is equipped with a pool table, a dart board, a wood-panelled bar with six bar chairs, a luxurious leather sofa, and a 40″ LCD screen satellite TV, ideal for watching sports. The courtyard is open to the sky, bordered by a water cascade, and furnished with a synthetic rattan bar table and high chairs, together with a coffee table and chairs.
The beautiful garden is punctuated with coconut palms and dominated by a 20 metre x 4 metre, infinity-edge lap pool that follows the line of the beach and is elevated above a beachside lawn. A large ‘bale bengong’ relaxation pavilion is situated at one end of the pool and fitted with two, large mattresses, making it an ideal spot for a massage. At the other end of the pool is a wood-panelled pool bar with a pitched roof. The pool deck is furnished with sun-loungers and umbrellas. There is also a pool shower.
The Master Suite presents a bedroom furnished with a king-size bed and equipped with a satellite TV and DVD/CD player. There is also an ensuite dressing area with twin washbasins, and a garden bathroom fitted with a rainshower and Jacuzzi. Upstairs is a cosy, air-conditioned sitting room complete with a DVD player and a corner sofa that can be converted to twin beds. There is also a study offering magnificent views.
The three guest bedrooms are located on the ground floor. One is furnished with a king-size bed, one with a queen-size bed, and the third with twin beds. Each features a dressing area, and each is equipped with an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player. Each is complemented by an ensuite garden bathroom.
The 2-storey master suite comprises the ground floor master bedroom and en-suite bathroom, and an upstairs study together with a DVD room.
The air-conditioned master bedroom embraces a green theme with a cool marble floor and a built-in daybed. Sliding glass doors open onto the stone terrace on the one side and a timber deck on the other side, offering wonderful ocean views. The bedroom is furnished with a king size, canopied, four-poster bed and a lazy chair. Sumptuous cushions, golden Buddhas and an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player, complete the picture of luxury. An en-suite dressing area presents built-in teakwood wardrobes with shelves, drawers and a safe deposit box, and vanity unit with twin washbasins and a large wall mirror. A rain shower and a large, sunken Jacuzzi are positioned in an adjoining open-air walled courtyard, complete with a fish pond, potted plants and a Palimanan stone frieze.
A downstairs hallway is accessed via a door from the master bedroom and also from an external door. From here, a set of stairs leads up to a cosy, air-conditioned sitting room boasting an aquamarine theme. Equipped with a DVD player, a Playstation, a low opium table, a sideboard, and a corner sofa that can be converted to twin beds, this room is ideal for children and adults alike.
Next door is an air-conditioned study with windows on three sides that can be folded open to the breeze, offering a stunning 270-degree view of the river estuary, the mountains, the beach, the ocean and the neighbouring islands. Featuring dark purple walls, the study is furnished with a desk, chair, large sofa and shelf unit. WiFi Internet access is available throughout the villa.
The main guest bedroom is on the ground floor under a soaring roof, with sliding glass doors on two sides. Characterized by an olive green theme, it is similar to the master bedroom, furnished with a king-size bed and equipped with air-conditioning, a built-in daybed, and an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player. A timber deck at the front is furnished with a table and a pair of planter chairs. The air-conditioned dressing area presents a wardrobe, a safe deposit box, a reading desk and a full length mirror. The en-suite open-air bathroom features a terrazzo vanity unit with wash basin, a toilet within an alcove, and a rainshower, harmonised with a fishpond, creamy-white Palimanan stone walls and floor, and a hand-carved frieze.
The other two air-conditioned guestrooms are brightly coloured and are ideal for children. Located on ground level, the orange room is furnished with twin beds and the purple room with a queen-size four-poster. Each is equipped with an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player. Three steps lead from each bedroom down to dressing areas, each fitted with a wardrobe, a safe deposit box, and a vanity unit with a washbasin. The orange room features an en-suite garden bathroom with an outdoor rain shower on this level, while the purple room boasts a bathtub with a rain shower indoors and a second shower in the private, walled, outdoor area.
Villa Pushpapuri is right on the beach facing out over the Badung Strait with Nusa Penida in the distance. The lawns and terraces in front of the villa enjoy those magnificent sea views. It has plenty of space around it making and ideal set for weddings, parties and other special events.
Whether you prefer to have an intimate family gathering or a party for up to a 100 guests standing, Villa Pushpapuri is able to accommodate your needs to make your event a memorable one.
The family friendly advantages of a villa holiday are many, including access to your own private facilities and the freedom to use them whenever you want. Knowing that the kids can run around happily, independently and safely, without you having to worry about other guests, is a real plus – and one that means parents are certain to have a more relaxed holiday too.
Pushpapuri’s games room makes the villa a great destination for families with older children, who will really enjoy hanging out here, with a pool table to keep them amused. The home theatre is bound to be popular too, with its chunky leather cinema seats arranged in tiers in front of a 65-inch flatscreen TV with digital movies and state-of-the-art audio equipment. The Purple and Orange bedrooms make a great family or kids’ base too. Guests with toddlers will need to be vigilant, however, due to the villa’s river-and-beachside location and numerous ponds and water features. For expert swimmers there are boogie boards and a surf break right on the doorstep.
