Villa Tantangan is a three bedroom villa, located in the sleepy seaside Village of SehSeh or Beraban, near the Islands famous Tanah Lot temple. The journey from the airport takes around one hour and the highlights of Seminyak are 30 minutes away. Canggu can be reached in 15 minutes by car with an array of cafes, shops, spas and beach bars to enjoy at your leisure. A car and driver can be organized during your stay. The Villa driver knows Bali like the back of his hand. He will take you safely on your excursions or to any dining or shopping hot spots through his secret shortcuts to avoid traffic.
With bamboo features, calming blue furnishings and ocean views guests are sure to feel instantly relaxed on arrival. Each bedroom is free standing in its own pavilion allowing privacy between guests. The design is natural, clean and tropical with a contemporary feel. The layout lends itself to a few couples with young children sharing their room, or those travelling with children old enough to be independent in their sleeping arrangements.
The first bedroom known as the Beach View bedroom is 80sqm. It is located on the east side of the land. It has two lounging terraces, one facing the river and the other facing the garden leading to the beach. It has a king size bed, a small lounging area and a writing desk. The bathroom has a bathtub, separate shower room, WC and a walk-in closet.
The Temple view bedroom is on the east side as well. It is 55sqm. It has a large lounging terrace facing the river and the temple. It has twin beds that can be put together to form a king size bed. Between the bedroom and the bathroom, there is a large walk through closet. The bathroom is equipped with bathtub, separate shower space and separate toilet.
The last bedroom is on the west side of the land and is in a more elevated position. It has fantastic views on the sea and the beach. It is slightly smaller than the other ones covering 48sqm. It has one queen size bed, a separate dressing area and a bathroom with separate shower area and toilet. In addition there is a large storage space for the luggage.
The living and dining area is an open area giving you the best views of the sea, the beach and the garden. It covers an area of 72 sqm and extends into a large decking leading to the pool. This space is the heart of the home and tastefully furnished with comfort in mind.
The office can also be converted into a nanny or kids bedroom (21sqm). It has two single sofas that can easily be converted into beds. There is an attached bathroom with a shower and a toilet (21sqm). The office has a computer and internet access (Wi-Fi available and covering the central area of the villa).
There is also a closed media space (37sqm) in case you want to watch TV in the comfort of an air conditioned room. The kitchen is fully equipped with teak cupboards and modern appliances, a BBQ is also available for guest use. A lovely chef is on hand to prepare your lunch or dinner should you decide to dine in, and the staff are happy to do your grocery shopping.
Villa Tantangan is also unique because it is producing its own electricity primarily through solar panels. The house has been designed to minimize its energy consumption. For example, the living area (72sqm) is completely open to help natural ventilation and the flat roofs have been planted with shrubs for heat insulation. Although contemporary the Villa sits so well within its natural surroundings.
The large garden is designed by landscape artist John Pettigrew, a resident of Bali for almost 20 years. He is responsible for many of the well known private residential and hotel gardens on the island. It has been planted with numerous mature trees, shrubs, and flowers.
The land is elevated 15m above sea level. The villa faces south giving you a panoramic view of the sea and Nyanyi Beach. To the east, the land is bordered by Tantangan River with bountiful bird and wildlife. To the north, views of the paddies and on the horizon, the majestic volcanoes of central Bali. Truly spectacular early in the morning with the sun rise.
The villa is located in the Beraban area, on the way to Tanah Lot, between Nyanyi beach and the Nirvana Golf. The last 3km (about 15min) is a typical balinese rural drive through the rice fields. Nyanyi Beach is reached directly from the house through a small, typical Balinese gate at the bottom of the garden.
A great choice for those wanting to experience a traditional setting, with ocean views and comfort.
