Bali Family Villas was founded by an Australian couple who moved to Bali in 2008 and have called the island home ever since. We raised our three children here, watched the island grow and change around us, and built this business from the ground up alongside our family. That’s not a marketing line — it’s just our life.
With backgrounds in real estate, event planning, and early childhood education, we combined our professional skills with our genuine love of Bali and our deep understanding of what families and groups actually need from a holiday. Bali Family Villas was born from that combination — and it’s been our passion project ever since.
We are supported by a team of loyal, long-term staff based here in Bali who share our values and our commitment to getting things right. We connect closely with the in-villa staff teams at every property we list, because we know that the people who welcome you into a villa make as much difference as the villa itself. Customer experience is at the core of everything we do — from the first enquiry to the moment you arrive.
We are deliberately selective about the villas we list. We don’t have a massive portfolio — we have a considered one. Every property has been personally inspected by our team and is regularly reviewed. If a villa doesn’t meet our standards, it doesn’t stay on our books. We are not a big travel platform with algorithms and automated responses — we are real people doing our best day in and day out, and we are your eyes and ears on the ground. That matters enormously when you are planning a significant trip from the other side of the world.
We also believe that travelling well means giving back. We quietly support local Balinese charities and causes that make a real difference to the communities that so generously welcome visitors to their island home every year.
