Many Canggu cafes have play areas or colouring in, at very least kids are able to potter about and are not necessarily expected to sit quietly. Eating out in Canggu with kids is relaxed and fun. Sun of Panama
Located near to Berawa Beach, opposite the entry to Finns Beach Club this cool little pool café is a great find with kids.
After a beach swim or walk, it’s a fun place to have a family meal and the kids can have a little splash in the pool while waiting for meals to arrive.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with all the kids favourites. Come for the food and stay for the pool is their catch phrase!
From the same peeps who gave us the plant-based KYND Community cafe in Seminyak, GIVE Cafe dishes up wholly vegan Indonesian food Nasi Campur style. It’s just like your favourite warung, but with plant based menu.
But that’s not all. There’s meaning behind the name of this guilt-free grazing spot: GIVE Café donates 100% of its profits to charity. Yup, that means that your meals could help build recycling facilities in local villages or contribute to an animal shelter or a school for children with disability. Whatever you choose, it’s 100% vegan, 100% not for profit, and really yummy too! A great place to take the kiddos and talk about giving back.
Take the tribe for early coffee, brunch or lunch at everyone’s favourite French bakery restaurant in Canggu – one of five locations on the island. Go early in the morning when the sun isn’t too hot, and sit outside in their cute garden with a coffee and crossiant. Try the incredible pastries and cakes, freshly baked breads and eggs and bacon! The kids can potter about while Mum and Dad get their coffee fix, its open from 7am too so perfect for the early risers!
Berawa Beach Bars
The colourful row of casual beach shacks that line the sand either side of Finns Beach club are a family fun hang out for sunset and cheap dins. More beach bars are found at the Echo Beach end of Canggu, and it’s fun to wander along and take your pic of venue.
Many have swings for the kids and some have cute little play areas at the back, like Brekele. The kids love the colourful bean bags and umbrellas… and the chance to play in the ocean and watch the dogs relax after a long hot day! Parents can enjoy some cold drinks, hot chips, nasi goreng and take in Balis famous sunsets! For a cocktail on the sand try the more upmaket Tukan, or to throw in a surf lesson head to The Lazy Coconut. A casual Canggu family sunset is a must do!

Made’s Warung Café & Outdoor Playground
The playground is a great feature of this Joglo style café and it makes a fun place for a family breaky, brunch, coffee or lunch stop!
With slide, sandpit, swings, trampoline and monkey bars as well as a kids menu.
With an indoor kids club area too which is a fun and safe space for little ones up to 5 years. You can enter with an adult or they arrange babysitting at charge.
Sprout Café & The Garden Kids Club
This is a popular ex-pat preschool with a lovely café at the front. The indoor kids club is open to visitors all year round and is adjacent to the Sprout café. Hourly rates apply for the kids club and also check the web site for school holiday programs. It is natural, fun and professionally managed. Located on Jalan Raya Semat, near the Canggu short cut.
La Casita Peruvian Café & Playground
This family style casual café has cute play area and activities for kids. Serving Peruvian food in a relaxed setting. Located on Jalan Raya Semat, the same street at The Garden Kids Club.
Old Mans Beach Cafe
This has fast become a Canggu institution for breaky, lunch or dinner served surf club style. With live music on weekends, a ping pong table and views across the surf break. Old Mans is a great place where everyone is welcome. Check out the market one Saturday each month. It can be a more ‘adults only’ atmosphere after sunset, so pick your moment! They have beach showers to rinse of little sand monsters.
This quirky setup along Berawa Beach near to the Batubelig end has charm and cool decor! LA LAGUNA,is a quirky, cool venue that will wow most travellers. With an easy share menu and delicious cocktails there is plenty of grassy space for kids to run about and colourfulbean bags to sit on. There is also beach access across the bridge for some sand play. Sometimes there are dance parties and events, so check whats on before you take the kids.
