Kid friendly restaurants in Canggu

The Canggu hipster café scene is also full of fun and colour for families. With kids menus and family friendly restaurant options at every turn. Many Canggu cafes have play areas or colouring in, at very least kids are able to potter about and are not necessarily expected to sit quietly. Eating out in Canggu with kids is relaxed and fun. Phew! Whether your little ones enjoy the famous Acai and smoothie bowls, Bali pancakes, pizza or creative takes on Indonesian favourites, it’s always fresh and delicious! Sun of Panama

Located near to Berawa Beach, opposite the entry to Finns Beach Club this cool little pool café is a great find with kids.

After a beach swim or walk, it’s a fun place to have a family meal and the kids can have a little splash in the pool while waiting for meals to arrive.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with all the kids favourites. Come for the food and stay for the pool is their catch phrase!



The colourful casual beach shacks that line the sand  to the left of Finns Beach club are a family fun hang out for sunset and cheap dins.

The kids love the colourful bean bags and umbrellas… and the chance to play in the ocean and watch the dogs relax after a long hot day! Parents can enjoy some cold drinks, hot chips, nasi goreng and take in Balis famous sunsets! For a cocktail on the sand try the more upmaket Caravan by Cabanon, or to throw in a surf lesson head to The Lazy Coconut next door. A casual Canggu family sunset is a must do!


Monsieur Spoon

Take the tribe for early coffee, brunch or lunch at everyone’s favourite French bakery restaurant in Canggu – one of five locations on the island. Go early in the morning when the sun isn’t too hot, and sit outside in their cute garden with a coffee and crossiant. Try the incredible pastries and cakes, freshly baked breads and eggs and bacon! The kids can potter about while Mum and Dad get their coffee fix, its open from 7am too so perfect for the early risers!

Two popular family-Friendly Hangouts.. Delicious Breakfasts, Epic Lunches & Grazing-Style Dinners (great pizza)! With two venues, one in Berewa and one in Batubolong, both with playgrounds and some kids activities. These cafes are a must with little ones, an opportunity for a relaxed brunch for parents and a play with some other kiddies!

Tygr Sushi


Sushi is loved by kids of all ages and this no fuss Japanese restaurant is where you and your hungry minis can find all their faves. Kids love the classic hand rolls, edamame, gyoza and karaage fried chicken. They have high chairs and kids feel welcome. Located in Berewa, it’s a great choice for lunch or dinner with the crew… wine for mama too!

La Brisa


This Boho Becah Club with a castaway design will have you and the kids happy! This unique beach club has a pool and delicious Spanish eats. From the same family as La Plancha in Seminyak, La Laguna in Batubelig, now Canggu has their eccelctic sunset venue to enjoy. Pull up a beanbag and enjoy a sundowner. With two swimming pools and a pirate theme, this will be a highlight for the kids! They also have a fun Sunday market. Get in touch for reservations.

The Lawn


You can hang out at The Lawn from 12 noon onwards, while you watch the long board surfers slide along the Canggu waves, directly out front! Order bites and a carafe of sangria to share as you slip into another beautiful Bali sunset. Space for the kids to be kids, a pool to cool off and a menu for all.

Times Beach Warung


Up early with the babes? Times Beach Warung on the sand at Batubolong is open from 6am for coffees! It’s also a cool beach café and bar any time of day. Located next door to The Lawn, this laid back café doesn’t have a pool but is perfect for sand play and splashing about any time of day. Kids love the beanbags and adults love everything else!



Laca Lita

A forever-fave on Canggu’s must-try restaurant scene, Lacalita is where it’s at for tacos, tequila and some of the best Mexican bites in town. Bringing a taste of modern Mexicana to the buzzing Batu Bolong strip, Lacalita serves great food and drinks in a family-friendly setting. Think colourful booths, eclectic local artwork and friendly staff.  As the night kicks on and the Margies are flowing, it’s great for adults only too.


Joon Canggu

This café has a lovely pool, garden and playground area making it a lovely outing for families. Located a little out of town in Canggu, with a well-priced menu and space for the kids to run about.


Milu By Nook

This café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Set back from the road with some rice field vistas, it’s a great spot for the whole family to enjoy. With a well-priced menu of Indonesian and western favourites.


Shady Shack Batubolong

The whole menu is meat-free and healthy – we love the nori bowls, the selection of vegan burgers, and the deserts. Grab a cold coconut, a long black or better yet, boost that immune system with a turmeric latte. It’s casual and fun and kids are welcome at this Tanah Barak chilled out location. Instaworthy juices and smoothies and a great menu for the whole family.
